About
A department,
not an agency floor.
roasdept is deliberately small. It exists to give ecommerce brands the performance team they would build in house if hiring one were realistic.
At a glance
Why it is built this way
Most agencies solve growth by adding people, then spend the margin managing them. The client ends up talking to whoever is free rather than whoever knows the account. We went the other way: fewer clients, handled directly, with the process written down so quality does not depend on who happened to open the account that morning. Fewer brands means each one gets the operator rather than the org chart, and it puts a hard ceiling on how many we can take.
Where we come from
This is run by an operator who built and ran ecommerce brands before ever managing them for anyone else. That background sets the default: margin matters more than revenue, a return number means little without knowing what it costs to deliver the order, and any metric that cannot survive a look at the bank account is not a metric. The performance side has since covered Meta, Google, Shopping feeds, SEO, conversion work and creative production across a wide range of consumer brands.
Positions
What we believe, stated plainly.
- A number you cannot trace back to a working measurement chain is decoration.
- Creative is the biggest lever in paid social, and most accounts underinvest in it.
- In ecommerce search, the feed is the strategy. The bidding is housekeeping.
- Consolidation usually beats another campaign.
- A test that cannot reach significance is a preference wearing a lab coat.
- Reporting should include what failed, otherwise it is marketing rather than reporting.
- Owning your accounts and your data is not a detail, it is leverage.
- If we are not the right people for a brief, saying so early is worth more than the fee.
Where we work
Worldwide, in English, without the overhead.
Everything that matters gets written down, so time zones stop being a problem and nothing depends on both parties being awake at once. The weekly call sits on top of that, not instead of it. A brand in another hemisphere gets exactly the same service as one an hour away.
What that means in practice
The next step
Think we might fit?
Send a short note about the brand and what you are trying to grow. If we are not the right people for it, we will tell you that instead of booking a call to find out slowly.
Start a conversationYou send one short note
The brand, the channels, roughly what you spend. Two minutes of your time.
We read the account and write back
What we would change first, what we think it is worth, and what it would cost. In writing, free.
We take the work off your desk
Audit, measurement, structure, feed and creative. You approve, we build.
Report on Monday, call the same week
You always know what we did, what it earned and what is next. That never changes.
